I'll say here, what I said to them directly. --- I had the greatest of pleasures as a guest at your restaurant with two friends last night. Start to finish, it was the best night out I've enjoyed the year. Everything was just right. We had the carte blanche menu, which was an absolute delight; every single course was frankly delicious. The service was wonderful - charming staff, great pacing of the courses, and there was no sense of being rushed along. Very often, when I go out, I feel a bit "packed in", but we had the luxury of the space and comfort of a booth. Even the toilet was lovely. This might all sound excessively effusive (it is Christmas!), but honestly, it was so good. Literally faultless.

Very nice atmosphere (especially for a Tuesday), lovely food and wine! Avoid the prawns, tasty but too small and they advised to eat with the shell on. I’m not sure if this was to try and distract from the poor portion size 🧐. The duck was incredible. A little expensive for what it was but would go back again

Amazing place, such nice food, service was absolutely brilliant. In particular Eleanor was amazing and made so much effort to accommodate some very tricky allergen combinations to ensure the tasting menu worked for a large group. Highly recommend.

Outstanding atmosphere, the best mash potato ever (I don’t even particularly like a “normal” one) & bread (wow!). Cons: long wine list but no Portuguese one, including Port which would perfectly match your desserts. Overall, great customer service and great experience.

Really loved the food here. Had a mushroom dish that was one of the best I've ever had. Good wine selection and interesting options, and the small plates are actually of reasonable size. Not cheap at all, but I'd say it's good value for what you get. Don't skimp on getting a dessert. I had a chocolate choux bun that was delightful.

I booked this restaurant lured by the promise of one particular item listed on the menu on the website. When I arrived two days later, the item had gone. I had the next best thing, and it took a full hour and 45 minutes to arrive. When it did, it was not worth the wait. Before it even arrived, a waiter told me I would have to move table soon as the booking would expire. The nerve to actually say that to someone who *they* had already kept waiting almost two hours for one plate of food. Absolutely ridiculous, expecially at such extortionate prices. Avoid this place.

Wow, a fantastic evening. Incredible food, great buzzing atmosphere (on a Wednesday!) and brilliant service. We had the carte blanche menu as a table of 4, some real delicious options - the scallop boudin noir a personal highlight. Also a solid wine list, 5 stars.

Simply the best new addition to the area since Trinity Square… the creativity, the quality (and freshness of the ingredients), the vision, the hard work, the passion, the craft …. Head Chef Matt and his team have it all. Beautiful food. We had a Jerusalem artichoke tart, Shitake with comté and freerange coddled egg, Skate with a chanterelles reduction (with calf feet, yes !), Boudin Noir with pan fried Atlantic Scallop, light ganache Chou for dessert, homemade bread with Cornish butter, and a beautiful wine from the Loire Valley…. The fact that I vividly remember everything with such detail and want to rush back speaks for itself. What an unexpected showstopping experience. The last time my tastebuds felt that kind of sensation was at Claude Bosi’s (Bibendum). As a French chauvinist pig (of course) I wrongly assumed Matt, the Head Chef, had to be French… well… Matt is homegrown… a young English Chef . !!! Bravo, bravo, bravo Chef ! The best dinner of the year. And very good value for money too. I hope the locals get to grab a table before Fay Maschler discovers this place. Highly deserving of a bib gourmand … I am sure Michelin will agree... it was a privilege to experience such beautiful food in an uncomplicated, unpretentious, unassuming setting. Thank you!

mmmm... I'm not what sure what say? The bread and butter was good. The wine list was odd and challengingly pricey. The food, apart from the bread was not all bad it was just rather strangely combined. Perhaps just a result of the way we ordered (small plates can be a bit like this, I guess), but the final price of the meal (punchy) means I won't be rushing back.

After waiting months to go, I’m really disappointed and wouldn’t recommend given the great alternatives on northcote/ lavender. Service - charging for service and using waiters who don’t know the menu, the history / story of the restaurant (although I don’t think there is one..), or who bring out food and wine at different times does not meet expectations. I would have opted for £80 service to be removed. Wine - I enjoyed the bravery and complexity of the wines on the pairing. But they did not compliment their dishes at all - in fact they often competed with the flavours. Separately, great wines, paired, very confusing. Food - again, enjoy the bravery but nothing stood out. Presentation was usually fine, I found a lot of dishes lack championed flavours, a lot were strong acidity, very flat. Lamb lacked any unique flavour; everyone at the table loved the oyster, mine wasn’t shucked properly so was awfully crunchy. For £165pp, your money can be better spent on alternative culinary experiences.

Lovely menu of very inventive food (try the scallops/chicken wings) and a super fun wine list with loads of Jura options. Reasonably priced. Will be back.

We had a really disappointing experience at Ploussard. My wife went there with 7 friends to celebrate her birthday, and the staff and manager were incredibly rude, making her feel really unwelcome. It was late in the evening, the restaurant was only half full, and they just wanted to enjoy some drinks, share a few plates, and desserts. But the staff insisted that each person had to spend at least £75, even though there was no mention of this policy anywhere. I’ve worked in hospitality, and this is just bad customer service. Sure, they got their money last night, but they’ve lost us as customers, and probably our friends too. Not a good way to run a business if you care about future customers.

Our first time at Ploussard and we were so impressed. We were given a warm welcome by the front of house staff who sat us down and talked us through the menus. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was great - busy candle lit tables and warm wooden panelling. There was an extensive list of wines and the food was absolutely superb! The raw beef on crispy hash brown was a stand out dish for me. Nice that on occasion the chefs personally brought the food out to the tables and talked through the dishes. We genuinely loved it and can’t wait to go back!

The person who introduced herself as the manager of the restaurant made us feel unwanted, unwelcomed and guilty for ordering a table for only drinks and deserts at 21:30. Since the moment we asked for the desert menu we received comments about expectations from us to eat at least £75, cold looks and short no patience answers to our questions around dishes and drinks. We checked ourselves and confirmed there is no notification about the need to spend £75 on your online reservation. The table was ordered for 6 and another friend decided to come at the last minute. Somehow that manager said to us that because we ordered a table for 7 (but we didn't) she needed to rush other tables in order to sit us down. Over all the service was below expectations and we do sit in many restaurants around London. We will never return

The food was good and the atmosphere is great there. However, we encountered terrible service. We booked for a group of 6 for Saturday night and we arrived we were told there was a minimum of 75 pounds per person. This did not appear during the booking process (we verified it in the booking emails and even rebooked again to make sure). The staff was unpleasant about the entire situation and even rude, telling us we were taking up space where other customers who paid more could have sat. Poor service experiece!

The service was unacceptable. I never write bad reviews, but I can't believe any establishment will treat their guests so poorly. Apparently, if you won't spend £75 per person, you aren't welcome in this little wine bar. And this isn't stated anywhere in the booking BTW. I eat out in so many restaurants around London and I was never treated this bad in any place in England. We came to celebrate and ended up arguing with the manager. Unbelievable, unacceptable.

I’ve been to this little gem in Clapham three times, and it has never disappointed. A truly authentic bistro experience, the intimate atmosphere adds to its charm. Each dish is made to perfection, with a unique touch that keeps me coming back. I can’t wait to return for another fantastic meal

Meadow martini is absolutely delicious. I already want another. Mrs Kirkham’s doughnut is a delight. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed it all with the exception of the noise level. It is pretty loud. Well worth a visit.

An absolute gem! Just a five-minute walk from Clapham junction station, this fine dining restaurant is a must-visit. The food is nothing short of amazing – each dish is beautifully crafted with bold, exquisite flavours (actually better than some Michelin star places I’ve eaten at!!) We genuinely couldn’t select a favourite dish as they were all equally as impressive which just made the experience for us. The concept is around sharing plates which was great as it meant me and the girls could try more dishes together and the wine selection is equally as impressive. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, fine dining but not stuffy creating the perfect backdrop for a memorable evening. We’re now all planning on taking our partners there too for a date night. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this place is a dining experience not to be missed!

We looked and booked last minute and had never heard of it. It was all around fantastic, cosy and not too formal, with all focus on food and wine. We sat at the bar and could watch the amazing kitchen team deliver their stuff with precision.
